I have been to my fair share of professional golf
tournaments and I always like to stop at the range to watch professionals
practice and warm up. One thing is constant, they all use some kind of
alignment tool. If the pros are doing it, then you should be doing it too.
The correct alignment is crucial for the proper path of your golf club. To aid with your practice or warm-up session, use old shafts, clubs, or alignment sticks and lay them parallel to your target line as shown in the top left photo.
Now you are all set to practice. Line
up your feet and shoulders parallel to your alignment tools( middle
photograph).
Make sure to take a few looks at the
target before hitting each shot (bottom photo). This is important because you
visually need to get used to what it looks like to be set up correctly, which will
allow you to take this proper alignment to the golf course. I hope you enjoyed
this simple tip and remember take advantage of things you can control on the
golf course, like proper alignment.
